Footnote to Green Buildings article: more new museums
I have just completed a note about an article on Green Museums in the Art Newspaper. There are some very interesting notes on new museums planned in the USA in the body of the article:
- Renzo Piano design for the Art Institute of Chicago which can be found on the web here and here and here and apparently "integrates a range of green features including a photocell lighting system that dims as ambient light gets brighter and a double window facade that provides natural ventialtion and light"
- Renzo Piano design for the Whitney Museum of American Art that can be found on the web here and here and here
- Frank Gehry design for the Philadelphia Museum of Art that can be found on the web here and here and here
- Herzog and de Meuron (archInform ref) design for the Miami Art Museum that can be found on the web here and here and here (possibly no details available until much later in 2007)
